The Course Interface
The course has been designed arond the Netscape Navigator web browser. The course documents are
written in HTML, so the course webspace is navigated just the same as a regular World Wide Web
document.
The main display areas of the interface are the menubar, the table of contents, and
the main frames. Other frames may be used in various places, but these are the main ones.

The Menu Bar
Table of Contents
The table of contents is a complete listing of the topics available within this course. Each chapter
is listed in a collapsing-tree format containing each section. Simply click on the heading that you
wish to go to, and the apropriate page will be loaded in the main frame.
The main window, or main frame, is where the course material, and all other documents, are displayed.
Links followed in the main frame
The menu bar contains buttons linking directly to the top level of the table of contents, a search
engine to search all course documents, sample exercises, a glossary of terms, and a link to this help
page.
